Gallery - Comics 2 - "The Owl" -- everyone wants to be a rock star!

Everyone involved in comics, on every level, in every job, was originally attracted to comics to become an artist -- otherwise they would be working in other fields. For a million reasons, most of us fall short in that particular skill set, but that doesn't mean we don't dream of artistic greatness, and occasionally we try to resurrect that dream.  The investment of time and energy is ridiculously disproportionate to the results, which makes many of us who cannot draw with ease eventually idolize or despise those who can.  Still, there is something satisfying about making the effort and accomplishing the goal of "drawing a comic story," however imperfect the results.  So rather than lament having never tried, I periodically make the effort, self-critically savaging every fault and shortcoming, yet ultimately achieving a flawed satisfaction in actually having "drawn a comic story" long after almost everyone else has given up even dreaming or trying.
