Gallery - Process: More Work Than It Seems.

Cyberella was another project brought to me by Howard Chaykin, who was writing the book, and it was drawn and created by one of his assistants , Don Cameron.  It was a quirky project, and I went through a lot of logo comps trying to finder the "cyber" aspect of the title.  This many roughs is not common, and the final was completely hand drawn, with the logo on an overlay on top of the bar code..

This was a school project to design a cohesive series of book covers. It was in a course called "Directed Projects," so the final approach is not exactly what I wanted to do, but that's all part of the challenge. The evolving process illustrates a fairly normal job that demand a complete change of direction to satisfy the client/professor. And, of course, God bless Saul Bass.
